Creativity has always been a
huge part of my identity.
Whether it was drawing,
painting, editing videos,
designing graphics or taking
photos, I was always making
something.Over time, all of
those creative interests
naturally came together and
shaped the way I approach
photography today..
A little bit about my background
- My family is South African, I
was born in Germany, and I’ve
spent most of my life growing
up in Australia. Growing up
around different cultures and
places has definitely shaped
the way I see the world. I’ve
always loved travelling, meeting
people and hearing their stories
— which probably explains why I
love photographing people so
much too!
My perspective is that a
photoshoot shouldn’t feel
overly staged or forced, your
photos should showcase who
you are naturally! I love
capturing the things that
make people unique — their
personality, interests and
hobbies. Those are the kinds of
photos I love most: genuine,
personal and full of life.
I first fell in love with
photography about 6 years ago
after volunteering and helping
with camera work at my church.
Since then, I’ve studied
photography as part of my
Graphic Design degree and
worked professionally in both
freelance and inhouse
positions. Which brings me to
now turning my passion into my
own photography business!
